Nestled in a little business office park, Summers Deli is a hidden gem. The menu choices are extensive and they have something for everyone. Don't like this or that it's ok.. made to order and fresh fresh fresh. Their salads are exceptional if you can get one before they sell out. Bonus for you if you go on a day they have their homemade brownies.. get two and treat yourself! You won't be disappointed.
Came back and had the Sorrento on toasted rye. If possible it was even better than the torpedo Italiano!
Finally had a chance to check this local deli out. It was delicious. The sweet lady at the counter and the young man who made my sandwich and offered his suggestion were on point! Both were very kind and welcoming. I had planned on getting a wrap, but the Bomb sandwich sounded too good to pass. Of course, it's stacked full and fresh ingredients. The cream cheese works well with this one on sourdough. I only ate half and hope to finish the other half later. The deli is nice and clean and offers chips, various drinks, and salads, too. I def will be back to try more items. They are now closing at 2 PM as the majority of their business is those in the industrial offices in the surrounding area. If you're in the RB area and want a fresh and old-school deli service, give them a try.

Good meatball sub. Lots of cheese. Toasted roll. Not a bad price. Lunch can be busy so if you can order... do so. Get you in and out and mowing asap before heading back to work.
Today I felt like I did a disservice to Yelp as I haven't written in awhile. Listed on a pad and paper some of best meals I have recently, and I am here to pay them the credit they deserve. This is a working persons place. We need to coin a term for a spot like this. Most people would not know it even exists as it is located in the middle of many office buildings. It reminds me of the places you can dip in to, in the center of NYC. It's only open during business hours and most of the clients work in a walking distance away. The establishment is simple, no frills and they do one thing and one thing well. Sandwiches. I eat here a few times a month, as the toppings are always fresh and the bread has always been soft. The owners are delightful. If I am having a hard day at work, and need a reset I come here. It is a good comfort food deli sandwich and hasn't disappointed yet. Sure, there are many places just right on the other side of the 15, but this is a working persons establishment. Walking distance, quick, always smiling and good food. ... plus you know there are days where you scored that perfect parking spot at work. Why give it up... walk on down to this place for lunch, keep your spot.

Nestled at the base of a nondescript commercial building in Rancho Bernardo is Summers Deli. I have been eating here for almost 20 years. This is a no-frills deli that is open to the public and services the lunch hungry among all the tech companies in the Via Del Campo area. Some of my favorite things to order include the roast beef sammich or tuna salad on white (see photos) or their delicious Torpedo Italiano on toasted French roll. Everything is made to order and service is top-shelf. They're open for breakfast and lunch every weekday. They even offer a nice looking selection of pre-made salads for grab & go. What I really appreciate are the several reserved deli parking spots right outside their front door!
